Name Our New School
Name Our New School
Starting in 2009 and finishing in 2012, Bay View High School and Fritsche Middle School will be merging into a new 6th through 12 grade school. When complete, it will be “the best of both schools.” Diverse programs from both of the current schools will form the core of the new institution. Students will be able to experience a wide range of classes that will form a consistent program through both the middle and high school years.
By decision of the MPS School Board, the new school has the following description: “The program would have an arts strand and additional AP (advanced placement) courses at the high-school level. Career-themed strands in fields like engineering, architecture and construction, health careers, and arts and communications would be added. . . . The proposed name for the grades 6-12 program at the Bay View site will be brought to the Milwaukee Board of School Directors for consideration at a later date.”
